Defending men’s champion Paruima maintained their perfect record in the 2nd edition of the Upper Mazaruni District Football Championship following a 1-0 victory over Jawalla.
Nadir Williams recorded the only conversion in the contest in the 12th minute. Meanwhile, Paruima and Jawalla played to a 1-1 stalemate in the women’s division.
Cezanna Reuben opened the scoring in the 34th minute for Jawalla, only for Lezandra Henrito to equalise three minutes later.
Also, Waramadong and Phillipai played to a scoreless affair in the men’s segment. The event continues today.
