Hakeem Thomas, a 27-year-old security guard from Timehri, East Bank Demerara was yesterday jailed for 28 months for larceny from a Goedverwagting businesswoman,
In a statement yesterday, the police said that he was arrested on Tuesday by a rank from the Alberttown Police Station and charged yesterday with larceny on the dwelling house of Desiree Browne, a 67-year-old businesswoman of Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
The incident occurred between June 12th and 16th, 2024.
Yesterday, the accused appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Abigail Gibbs, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 28 months imprisonment.
