Sherwin Hinds, a 37-year-old businessman from Bartica, was charged on Thursday with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. He appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed to answer to the charge. He pleaded not guilty and was placed on $50,000 bail.
The matter was postponed until 12 July 2024 for disclosure.
Hinds was arrested on Wednesday by ranks from the Bartica Police Station, following a ‘cordon and search’ exercise on his person and business place. He was found to be in possession of 33 grams of Marijuana.
