Yesterday between 05:30 and 06:00 hrs, Police carried out a ‘cordon and search’ exercise at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, and found 195.9 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag.
The ranks searched an abandoned shop on the tarmac at Pouderoyen and found a bulky plastic bag in a heap of grass containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Police took possession of the suspected cannabis, which was escorted to the Leonora Police Station and weighed, amounting to 195.9 grams.
