Green Machine to collide with T&T ruggers today at GDF Ground

Flashback! Godfrey Pollydore (centre) celebrates with his teammates after their 24-23 win over Trinidad and Tobago at the Haseley Crawford Stadium in Trinidad. Today the Green Machine will be looking to replicate the feat by a greater margin.

After much uncertainty surrounding the hosting of their return fixture against Trinidad and Tobago in the Rugby Americas North (RAN), South Zone Men’s 15’s Championships, Guyana’s national rugby team, the “Green Machine”, will be looking for victory today at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Ground, Camp Ayanganna.

With kick-off slated for 3PM, the team led by a determined Jamal Angus, will be looking to replicate their win against the Trinidadians in Port of Spain and even go better.

While a defeat by any margin greater than a point will mean the end of Guyana’s RAN South Zone 15s campaign, the side has been putting in the work through practice sessions and a series of trial matches.
