x The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday emerged victorious against Regional Police Division 4A in the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Justice Horace Mitchell Debate Competition 2024.
A police press release said the debate, which took place at CID Headquarters on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, showcased the unwavering commitment and passion for the art of debate by members of both teams. The moot for this year’s competition is: “Society believes that the use of surveillance technology by the police infringes on personal privacy rights more than it aids in crime prevention”.
