Road repairs Homestretch Avenue are continuing after a delay caused by inclement weather.
Following numerous complaints on Facebook about the state of the road, which made driving difficult and posed potential damage to vehicles, Stabroek News visited the area on Saturday and observed that work had resumed. Asphalt was being laid and other tasks were being carried out. Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill explained that the road is being widened to four lanes. He expressed his indifference to social media complaints.
When asked about the expected completion date, he stated that he was unable to provide that information at the moment.
