Kwakwani and Colts will contest the II grail final of the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association’s Men’s U-23 Championship following semifinal wins on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
Kwakwani clipped Ravens by a 102-60 score. Kimol Grimmond led the rout with 24 points, while Kadeem Dover was the next best scorer with 20 points. Supporting them with 15 and 10 points each were Royan Shortt and Kellon Phillips. On the other side, Alroy Nurse and Omar Headley scored 13 and eight points apiece. Kwakwani seized control of the contest as the first period ended 23-15. Their marginal advantage was extended in the second quarter as they outshot Ravens 16-15 to enter the halftime interval ahead at 39-30.
