Treaveth Wintz, a 24-year-old labourer of Heathburn Village, East Bank Berbice, was arrested on Sunday (June 23rd, 2024) and charged yesterday for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking (350 grams of marijuana).
Wintz appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Michelle Matthias, where the charge was read to him.
The accused pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
