-Grimmond wins MVP Award
The second edition of the Tertiary Basketball League (TBL II) concluded on Sunday night at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, and saw the Linden Technical Institute (LTI) stay unbeaten with a testing 79-70 win over the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans.
LTI’s Kimol Grimmond, who was on song for the majority of the league, rightly earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Accolade after once again leading the way for his team in their title push.
Despite being provided with a stern test from the UG outfit, LTI held firm and Grimmond’s 17 points, 11 rebounds and six assists proved to be the catalyst for his side’s victory in the end.
