The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has significantly enhanced its marine capabilities with the acquisition of a 40-HP Yamaha outboard engine.
Robeson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs, presented the engine in a ceremony at the Ministry’s Brickdam office yesterday.
The outboard engine, procured by the Community Policing Group (CPG), is destined for Region 9, bolstering the GPF’s emergency response and crime-fighting capabilities in an area currently grappling with extensive flooding, a release from the police said yesterday.
