Children should not have to see what I saw in front of St Agnes

Dear Editor,

I stood today in front of St. Agnes Primary School awaiting a taxi when a homeless man decided to drop his pants and proceeded to defecate right across the street from the school. After he was finished, he wiped himself off with his t-shirt, all the while in front of the primary school and adjoining secondary school. Fully naked at this point.

When he was done with his business, he then went on to just loiter around the parked cars asking for money from people as they parked and got out of their vehicles.

Is there truly no way to stop these things from happening?

A school is supposed to be a safe place for our children. My child or anyone else’s child isn’t supposed to be witnessing any naked stranger on their way to school or when they’re at school.

I really hope the relevant authorities can look into this and make sure our kids are safeguarded against these pressing issues.

Thank you,
