A gun was retrieved and four persons have been held after a police raid at Lot 24, Sheet Anchor Village, East Canje Berbice.
The police said in a statement that an intel-led ‘Eyes in the Sky’ and ‘Cordon and Search’ operation was held between 5.30 am and 6.11 am during which a 9mm firearm was found.
As a search of the building began, Police ranks observed a male escaping from a window on the upper flat of the house. The man jumped to the lower flat and ran towards the back fence.
