Twenty-five-year-old Aquincy Watson, also known as “Ronaldo,” was found dead in his apartment on Friday, just days before his 26th birthday.
Clayton Allen, a friend of Watson, reported speaking to him on Wednesday when Watson complained of feeling unwell. “He told me he was sick for the past two days. I told him to relax because next week is his birthday,” Allen recounted.
The discovery was made by a neighbour who lived next door. According to Allen, the neighbour initially knocked on Watson’s door and received no response, leading them to believe Watson was not home. Concerned after not hearing from him for days, they returned to the apartment, called Watson’s cellphone, and heard it ringing inside. This prompted them to seek help to break open the door. Upon entering, they found Watson lying motionless on the floor.
An ambulance was summoned, and paramedics pronounced Watson dead at the scene. It is believed that he had died hours before being discovered. A post-mortem examination is to be done.
