The licensed firearm that belonged to businessman Inderpaul Pramenauth, who died in an accident at Enmore on Friday, was recovered from the glove compartment of his Cadillac Escalade vehicle after it was processed by detectives.
According to a police press release, crime scene technicians processed the motor vehicle after it was taken out of the trench where it ended up after the accident, and a search was conducted for the belongings of the deceased. During the search, the firearm with one magazine and three live 9 mm rounds of ammunition were found in the glove compartment, the press release said.
The firearm and ammunition, along with a cellular phone were lodged with the police.
