The Ministry of Public Works has issued a notice to advise the general public that the Parika Highway, East Bank Essequibo, Region Three will be temporarily closed today and tomorrow between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 pm.
According to the notice, the closure is necessary to facilitate asphaltic concrete road overlay work under the project “Lot 17 – Rehabilitation/Construction of Hubu/Parika Main Access, Phase-2, Region 3”, which is being executed by S&D Construction.
During this period, there will be restricted access to the affected area, resulting in disruptions to traffic flow. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and follow alternative routes as indicated by directional signs, the notice said.
