Caribbean Junior Squash Championship
Nicholas Verwey, Mohryan Baksh, Michael Alphonso, and Safirah Sumner advanced to the next round in their respective divisional encounters when the Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championship commenced yesterday in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
In the Boy’s U-19 division, Verwey defeated Anthony Allum 11-3, 11-6, and 11-4, while Baksh dismissed Andrew Cox 11-6, 11-3, 11-4, and Alphonso humbled Neil Varwandkar 11-7, 11-3, 11-4.
In the girl’s U-19 section, Sumner thrashed Priya Stoddart 11-2, 11-4, 11-4, and Ciara George 11-3, 11-8, 11-0.
