Guyana Defence Force (GDF) goalkeeper Enoch Carmichael collapsed and tragically passed away yesterday during a training session at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Training Centre, Providence.
According to a source close to the scene, the unfortunate episode occurred during a routine practice session in the morning. He was 27.
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has extended condolences to the family of Carmichael during an official press release. According to the correspondence, GFF President Wayne Forde said, “On behalf of the Federation and the entire football community, I extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of Enoch Carmichael. We are saddened by the loss of such a promising talent. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.”
