Eleven-year-old Jonelle Kertzious of DeVeldt Primary School left her parents and teachers in awe yesterday as she secured a spot at Queen’s College and topped her primary school.

This is a historic development for DeVeldt Primary as it had never before secured a place at QC.

Kertzious, who attended the Upper Berbice River school copped 495 marks and in an interview with Stabroek News said that she was “pleasantly surprised and super elated being awarded a place at the Queen’s College.”
