The Ministry of Health yesterday received promotional items to bolster the HPV and COVID-19 immunisation campaign.

Minister of Health, Dr. Frank Anthony, received the donation from Breakthrough ACTION, funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The aim of this donation of 500 Draw string bags, 500 wrist bands and 200 t-shirts, to support the Ministry of Health’s campaign to encourage the uptake of HPV and COVID-19 vaccines and to bolster the general immunisation campaign, a statement from the Ministry of Health said.

During the handing-over ceremony, Anthony, noted that one of the essential steps to encourage individuals to take the HPV vaccine is to address the myths surrounding it.

“The various materials that we have here will help with the promotion of immunisation,” he said.
