Jumbo Jet Auto Sales strikes US$150m contract with SINOTRUK

Jumbo Jet Auto Sales has renewed its contract with Chinese manufacturer SINOTRUK.

A release yesterday from the company said that the renewal of the contract was announced by Tao Naijie, the General Manager of the Caribbean region for SINOTRUK, in a ceremony attended by Nasrudeen Mohamed, the Managing Director of Jumbo Jet Auto Sales.

The release said that Naijie highlighted the successful completion of their initial contract which saw the supply of over 500 trucks. The new contract, valued at  US$150m, is set to span a period of five years, extending the partnership between the two companies, the release said.

Mohamed expressed his gratitude for the opportunity presented by the contract renewal, emphasizing the importance of the partnership with SINOTRUK in meeting the growing demand for heavy-duty trucks in Guyana’s booming economy.

“I have always been dedicated to providing the best foreign-used equipment, but with the economic growth and increased demand for trucks, I saw the potential for a partnership with SINOTRUK,” said Mohamed said, according to the release.
