The West Bank/East Bank Demerara Zone of the Guinness Greatest of the Streets street ball competition got off to a fiery start last night at the Pouderoyen Tarmac, West Bank Demerara.
Home team Pouderoyen Brothers nailed ‘Up Like 7’ 5-1 in the opening encounter to get their campaign off to a near perfect start.
In the very first minute of the game, eventual hat-trick hero Dklayne Peters opened the Brothers’ account while Luiroy Nieuelder (6th minute) and Seon Stephen (13th minute) opened a 3-0 gap in the first half in a dominant display from the Pouderoyen side.
