SAGICOR Junior Tennis Championship
Michael Fordyce, Nathan DeNobrega, Matthew Jardine, and Isabella Granum recorded convincing wins when the SAGICOR Junior Tennis Championship commenced yesterday in Trinidad and Tobago.
Fordyce downed Jacob Alleyne of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) in straight sets, 4-2, 5-3, in his first match in the Boy’s U-10 division. He then bested Holden Hadeed of T&T 4-2, 4-1.
In the Boy’s U-14 segment, DeNobrega brushed aside Novak Malcolm of T&T 6-1, 6-1. Meanwhile, Jardine dismissed T&T’s Kitwana Ramkissoon Henry 4-2, 4-0 in the Boy’s senior section. In the Girl’s U-10 section, Granum thrashed Jaeda Dowlat of T&T 4-0, 4-2.
