Tobago shocked by early morning triple murder

(Trinidad Guardian) Three men were shot and killed, and a fourth man was left injured, in a shooting incident yesterday morning in Black Rock, Tobago. 

Guardian Media understands the shooting occurred around 6 am yesterday.

The deceased victims have been identified as Anslem Douglas, Gregory Hamlet and Samuel Mckain.

The fourth victim was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital to receive emergency medical care.

These latest killings have pushed the island’s murder toll to 14 for 2024, so far. Tobago recorded 14 murders for all of 2023.

Meanwhile, amidst the spike in murders, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has invited THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine to a National Security Council meeting tomorrow, at the Office of the Prime Minister in Tobago.
