Compromised health and safety practices at these establishments

Dear Editor,

I recently visited a pesticide business place in Kitty seeking a particular rodent extermination product. On entering I was greeted with an employee and the owner sitting among, in my view, toxic items without masks, gloves or other PPEs. Further alarming was an elderly lady at the entrance with a glass case selling eatables. I recall the prominent chemicals and pesticides place in the heart of the city where employees are similarly unclad. Is this acceptable? Are health and safety practices compromised at these establishments?

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
