The Bishops’ High School Boys U18 basketball team led by Most Valuable Player (MVP) Carmelo ManSonHing held their nerve to secure a 71-60 win over last year’s winners Kwakwani Secondary at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue on Sunday night.

ManSonHing was in prolific form on the night that it mattered most, netting more than half of his side’s points with 41 points and 11 rebounds, a MVP deserving performance.

Colwyn Stephens contributed a valuable 10 points and 18 rebounds to complement ManSonHing’s effort.

Kwakwani Secondary did their best to contain Bishops’ but even Cordel Hoyte’s 35 points and 9 rebounds could not stave off defeat.

Hoyte was supported by Arren Vanlewin who sunk 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
