Fifty-five-year-old Ingrid Thomas of Brittania, West Coast Berbice, appeared yesterday before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where she was charged with attempting to supply prohibited articles to a prisoner.
It was alleged that on July 8, at Lot 46 Brickdam Stabroek, Georgetown, without lawful authority, Thomas entered the Brickdam prison with a SIM card hidden in a toothpaste tube.
Thomas pled guilty to the charge.
