The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security has maintained silence on the departure of Prema Roopnarine from the position of Permanent Secretary.
Daun Ellis was recently appointed the new Permanent Secretary acting. Despite efforts by this newspaper to ascertain the reasons behind Roopnarine’s departure, no official statement has been issued.
Ellis had previously been the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
