Dear Editor,
There is a need in Guyana for civil society to hold the Government and Opposition (basically, the politicians) accountable.
But Civil Society has gone quiet.
For starters, there is the Norton imbroglio whereby Aubrey Norton has been accused by Vanessa Kissoon of sexual harassment.
Then there is the case of a clear conflict of interest with regards to Nigel Hughes of the AFC.
Then there is the numerous alleged malfeasances by the Government.
Civil society should not be cowed by political forces.
We need a more vibrant Civil Society.
