– Blairmont cops second place
Following an eight-year hiatus, the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) Cavalcade of Sports made its return on Saturday at the Port Mourant Community Centre, with Albion Estate emerging victorious at the conclusion of the event.
This was disclosed in a press release from the entity. According to the correspondence, Albion secured the title in the seven-team event, which comprised various disciplines with a tally of 36 points. Ending in second place was Blairmont on 33 points, while GuySuCo Training Centre/Port Mourant rounded out the top three with 23 points.
Meanwhile, Rose Hall ended in fourth place on 21 points, while GuySuCo Head Office, Skeldon, and Uitvlugt finished in fifth, sixth, and seventh place, respectively, on 11, eight, and seven points apiece. Present at the event was Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha.
