CWI Men’s U19 2-Day Championship

Fast bowler Isai Thorne will replace all-rounder Zachary Jodah in the Guyana Men’s U-19 team for the CWI Rising Stars 2-Day championships after the latter was forced to exit the event due to ongoing academic commitments. Thorne, the West Indies U19 speedster, was influential in the Guyana Harpy Eagles retaining their 4-Day title earlier in the year during his debut season. Thorne joined his teammates on Tuesday following his arrival from England and should feature in Guyana’s opening match against the Leeward Islands.
He is expected to play a vital role given his regional experience at the senior level.
