Relatives of duo missing after Mazaruni boat collision want police, MARAD help

Relatives of the two persons who went missing following a boat collision on July 5 in the Mazaruni River are calling for assistance from both the police and the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) as the search for their loved ones continues.

Vivian Licorish of Agatash Village, Bartica, told the Sunday Stabroek yesterday that his foster son, Cranston Davidson, 43, and his son-in-law, Troy Joseph, 35, of Agatash Village who are crusher operators at EKAA HRIM Earth Resources Management Quarry located at Batavia Island, Region Seven, left their respective homes on July 4 to collect their salary at EKAA and while they were returning to Bartica on July 5th the collision occurred.

A MARAD release yesterday stated that it is currently investigating the matter with the support of the police and both agencies are trying to locate the two missing persons.
