The downward movement of the index was driven by the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) which fell 2.663 percent on the sale of 1,898 shares while that of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 1.613 percent on the sale of 160 shares. The stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 1.064 percent on the sale of 200 shares and that of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 0.611 percent on the sale of 2,099 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 7,196; 5,063; and 4,238 shares respectively.
