Port Mourant Horse Meet
Defending Guyana Cup Champion Easy Time dispatched a competitive field to win the feature event at the Port Mourant Turf Club CARICOM horse race meet yesterday.
Powered by jockey Colin Ross, East Time made light work of the field to walk away with a prize of $1,500,000. Bossalina, who was expected to provide a serious challenge, finished in second place, while Beckham James and Jessica’s Pride finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
Meanwhile, Trump emerged victorious in the J-Class event, defeating Sarkar, Princess Samiyah, and Amazing Grace, who finished second, third, and fourth, respectively.
In the two-year-old race, Secret Traveller prevailed, with Candy Candy, Perfect Gold, and Miracle Star finishing in second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
In the H-Class race, Supremacy emerged victorious, while Binding Light, Emotional Damage, and She Will Be On Time finished in that order to round out the top four.
In the J/K/L maiden class race, Bin Laden emerged victorious, while Little Africa, Rock Star, and Legacy ended up in the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
In the L Class event, Top Gun edged War Time to clinch the top spot, with Princess Sasha and Royal Flight rounding out the top four in that order.
On the other hand, Royal Ink won the Guyana & West Indies Three-Year Old Derby race, relegating Sex Appeal, Country Rock, and Super Quick to the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
