Police say conducting ‘thorough’ search for men missing after Mazaruni River collision

The police yesterday said that a dedicated team of ranks led by Inspector Crawford, in collaboration with an official of the Maritime Administration Department,  departed the Bartica Police Station and are conducting thorough checks in the ongoing search for the two men who went missing following a boat mishap in the Mazaruni River on July 5th.

A statement from the police also said that ranks along with the Maritime Officers for Regional Police Division #7, conducted prior searches in the Mazaruni and Essequibo rivers for the missing men.

On Saturday the relatives of the missing persons, Cranston Davidson, 43, of Agatash Village, Bartica and Troy Joseph, 35, of Agatash Village, Bartica, went public stressing the need for  assistance from both the police and the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) as the search for their loved ones continues.
