As he approached the woman’s food stall, he discharged four rounds in the direction of a man known as ‘Crab’, who was standing not far from the child and his mother. ‘Crab’ then began to run and managed to escape, however, little Jeremiah was shot, and he fell to the ground.
The boy was picked up by his mother and rushed to a city hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment. His condition is listed as serious.
The police have thus far recovered two 9mm spent shells from the scene and are on the lookout for the suspect, as well as the man known as ‘Crab’.
“I thought the thing was squibs, not knowing it was a shooting out. When I turned, I saw that my son was already in a pool of blood. Then I rushed him to the hospital”, the mother had said at the time.
