The police yesterday issued a bulletin for Marlon Marcus, alias `Miceman’  over the shooting of six-year-old boy, Jeremiah Gustave.

Gustave was shot at around 19:45 on July 9th on Charles Street, Charlestown.

The police said that Marcus’ last known addresses are East Ruimveldt and Albouystown, Georgetown. He is wanted for attempted murder.

The boy’s mother Keisha Gustave, a 39-year-old food vendor at 11 Charles Street, Charlestown told Stabroek News on Monday that her son underwent  surgery recently for the injury and he is on life support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) department of the hospital.

Investigations have so far revealed that on the night of the shooting Jeremiah was standing next to his mother on the eastern side of Charles Street where she was plying her food business when the suspect approached on a black motorcycle with a gun in his hand.

As he approached the woman’s food stall, he discharged four rounds in the direction of a man known as ‘Crab’, who was standing not far from the child and his mother.

‘Crab’ then began to run and managed to escape, however,  Jeremiah was hit, and he fell to the ground.

The boy was picked up by his mother and rushed to a city hospital.

The police have thus far recovered two 9mm spent shells from the scene and are on the lookout for the suspect, as well as the man known as ‘Crab’.

“I thought the thing was squibs, not knowing it was a shooting out. When I turned, I saw that my son was already in a pool of blood. Then I rushed him to the hospital”, the mother had said at the time.
