Former West Indies B all-rounder Derek Kallicharran, as well as members of the Kaiteur Cricket Club, have contributed three boxes of cricket balls to the ‘Cricket Gear for Young and Promising Cricketers in Guyana’ project.

This was confirmed by an official release from the organisation. According to the correspondence, the balls will be donated to several clubs that have youth programmes, which will aid in the development of their respective nurseries.

In excess of 77 players from all three counties have been beneficiaries of the initiative. Additionally, two clubs in the Pomeroon area benefited from two used bats. Pomeroon, Leguan, and Wakenaam Cricket Committees and Cotton Tree Die Hard also received one box of red cricket balls each, and Cold Fusion Cricket Club received thirteen coloured uniforms.
