The police in Region Five with the assistance of the public have successful nabbed two men who are accused of robbing over nine people causing some amount of fear in the Blairmont Area.
Richard Arthur, 22, also known as “Richo” of Lot 141 Murphy Dam, Rosignol, West Bank Berbice, and Andrew Lynton, 24, known as “Biggs” of Ithaca Village, West Bank Berbice are in custody.
Arthur and Lynton were allegedly involved in a series of armed robberies and house break-ins in the Blairmont District over the past few months. According to the police, “the duo was on the run for quite some time, evading authorities. However, their luck ran out when a tip-off from a concerned citizen led the police to their hideout. A raid was conducted, after they had nowhere to hide, both Arthur and Lynton were turned over to the police (and) taken into custody without incident.”
