Pan American Youth Chess Championships
When action continued in the Pan American Youth Chess Championships yesterday at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida, USA, Team Guyana’s Aditi Joshi and Maliha Rajkumar recorded wins in their respective age categories while the rest suffered mixed results.
After five rounds, Joshi who had 2.5 points from five rounds, improved her record in the Girls U14 category with a draw and a win in rounds 6 and 7.
In round 6, she drew with Mexico’s Angelica Ordonez to take half of a point before taking the win over USA’s Tanya Prabhu to take her points tally to 4 from 7 rounds.
