Prime Minister Mark Phillips said on Friday that the outgoing United Nations Resident Coordinator for Guyana, Yeșim Oruç has been a responsive and reliable partner to the Government and an ardent supporter of the country’s development.
During the farewell ceremony for Oruç at the World Bank Gardens on Carmichael Street, Georgetown, the Prime Minister said that the Government of Guyana is appreciative of efforts made by Oruç in fostering engagements with diverse stakeholders to address national priorities and challenges to Guyana’s development agenda while advocating for actions to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
