A joint prison search was conducted on July 18, 2024, in the ‘condemned section’ of the Mazaruni Prison.
A release yesterday from the police said that the search comprised ten ranks from the Bartica Police station, headed by D/Inspector Henry, and Prison Officers of the Mazaruni Prisons, headed by O/C Mazaruni Prison, Supt. Cameron.
The following prohibited articles were found:
** 4 cellular phones
** 1 cellular phone charger
** 12 lighters
** 12 improvised weapons
