(Trinidad Guardian) A double homicide is under investigation following a shooting incident in Laventille on Friday.
The victims are Walter John of Bagatelle Road in San Juan and Western Main Road in Carenage and Celine Samantha Chadee.
According to a police report, the incident occurred around 3:30 pm when John, accompanied by Chadee, was driving a grey Hyundai Elantra along Plaisance Quarry Road.
As the vehicle approached Canada Plannings, several armed men emerged from unknown directions and opened fire, striking John.
The attack caused John to lose control of the car, which subsequently crashed into a drain on the western side of the road.
