Guyana captures gold in boy’s 8-10, girl’s 11-13 Team Kata

The Guyanese made a clean sweep in the team Kata (brown) male 8-10, with the trio of Kayden Savoury, Josiah Clinken, and Wyatt Savoury occupying the top podium spot.

Guyana made a clean sweep of the Boy’s 8-10 Team Kata event while also claiming the top spot in the Boy’s 17-19 Team Kata (black) and Girl’s 11-13 Team Kata (black) when the 4th edition of the International Karate Daigaku World Cup continued yesterday.

Staged at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Guyana made a clean sweep in the boy’s 8-10 Team Kata (brown) and also won gold in the boy’s 17-19 Team Kata (black) and girl’s 11-13 Team Kata (black). The Guyanese that landed the top podium spot in the Team Kata (brown) Boy’s 8-10 were Kayden Savoury, Josiah Clinken, and Wyatt Savoury, while Adesini Benjamin, Anthony Charles, and Liam Faerber took the runner-up spot, and Liam Brummell, Christian Persaud, and Chris Persaud completed the clean sweep as they placed third.
