Next weekend promises to be grand for those who head down to the National Cultural Centre as The link Show returns for its 37th staging.

On July 26th, 27th and 28th, patrons will have an opportunity to enjoy the annual satirical show which has been around since 1981.

“The only satirical show in Guyana, it has … enjoyed long runs annually at the NCC… [with] 16 performances in 2009 for  Link show 25. A few years, especially the Covid years, have seen no production,” the producers of the show Gem Madhoo and Ron Robinson said in a release.

It was revealed that Link Show 37 will look at the many political situations and personalities in the country. The show promises much laughter and entertainment of a high standard.

It has drawn together a team of experienced and inexperienced actors. Top entertainers  like Mark Luke-Edwards, Michael Ignatius, Sean Thompson, Kwasi ‘Ace’ Edmondson, Rovindra Persaud, Paul Budnah, Kevin Kellman, Stephen Mohammed, Brandon Singh, Gerard Gilkes, Sonia Yarde, Simone Dowding, Le Tisha da Silva, O’neilka Bacchus, Tchaiko Rodney, Latiefa Agard, Makini Thompson, Aliyah David and Christel Mangra promise to thrill patrons with comedic portrayals of various prominent political personalities.

Madhoo is co producer along with Robinson who is also directing the production.

The production was made possible with the private sector support of KFC, Silvie’s Industrial, Camille’s Academy, KSM Investments, Puran Brothers, Beharry’s, Sterling Products, Maggie’s Catering, German’s Restaurant, ReadyMix Concrete, RRT, NT Computeac and Impressions. KFC Link Show 37 opens at 8 pm on Friday 26th and runs nightly until Sunday 28th . Tickets are $2,000; $3,000 and $4,000 available from the National Cultural Centre
