Man wanted over AR-15 rifles turns self in to CANU

Radesh Raghobar, who was the subject of a wanted bulletin issued by the Customs Anti- Narcotic Unit on Saturday, 20th July 2024, in connection with the discovery of two AR-15 rifles, two matching magazines, twenty-five 5.56 rounds, one 7.62 round, one bulletproof vest, and 2.3 kg of cocaine found at his home on Friday, turned himself in today at CANU’s Headquarters.

Lower Pomeroon farmers receive plants and equipment

 As part of government’s efforts to boost agricultural development in Amerindian communities, the Ministry of Agriculture, through the National Agriculture Research and Extension Institute (NAREI), recently handed over a selection of plants along with farming equipment to the residents of Akawini, Lower Pomeroon, in Region Two.
