No drug shortage at Linden hospital – Isaacs

Linden Hospital Complex

Regional Health Officer of Region Ten Dr Gregory Isaacs has denied allegations of drug shortages at the Linden Hospital Complex, following claims made by Vice Chairman and Executive Member of the Alliance For Change (AFC) Region Ten Mark Goring.

During AFC’s weekly press conference last week, Goring alleged that “nurses [were] complaining about the shortages of drugs” at the Linden Hospital Complex. In response, Dr Isaacs clarified to Stabroek News that the hospital had received drug supplies as recently as a few days ago and there was no current shortage affecting patient care.
