The local entertainment scene is expected to come alive next week with the hosting of Guyana’s premier steel pan concert.
According to a release from the organisers, this highly anticipated event, PanJam 2024, which is expected to dazzle attendees with its vibrant theme, “PanJam: World of Colours” will take place on Saturday, July 27 at Parc Rayne, Houston, Georgetown. This is a new venue which marks a significant milestone in PanJam’s journey, reflecting its ever-increasing popularity and the need for a larger venue to accommodate its growing fanbase.
The release explained that PanJam was founded six years ago by renowned Guyanese pannist, Reon Miller, while he was a law student as a fundraising event to cover his tuition fees, and it has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, celebrating the rich sounds of the Caribbean and attracting people from all walks of life.
