West Coast Berbice villagers make citizens’ arrest of wanted man

Marlon Vossey who police said was wanted in relation to simple larcenies, discharging a loaded firearm and break and enter was arrested in Region Five on Wednesday by residents.

According to information gathered, Vossey, who was the subject of a wanted bulletin, was spotted at the back street of Number 41 Village, West Coast Berbice minutes after midnight.

Local residents apprehended him before handing him over to the police, Stabroek News was told.

At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a haversack containing a screwdriver, hacksaw, clothing and documents for motorcycle CL 3375 registered to Louis Isaacs. He is being held at the Fort Wellington Police Station.
