Guyana Panthers won the inaugural edition of the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) Boy’s U-16 Youth Academy Cup, defeating the Guyana Jaguars on penalty kicks yesterday in the final at the National Training Centre in Providence, East Bank Demerara.
Locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time, the Panthers prevailed by a 4-3 score to lift the title. Prior to the conclusion, Neeiaz Baksh opened the scoring in the 30th minute for the Panthers, only for Rondell Peters to equalise for the Jaguars unit in the 40th+1 minute.
